We’re Building a Better Miami—From the Ground Up

Build a Better Miami Campaign

Right now, developers are planning the largest real estate project in City of Miami history—64 acres in Little Haiti and Little River, led by the Swerdlow Group. But without a Community Benefits Agreement (CBA), local workers and residents risk being pushed out of their own neighborhoods.

In Miami, more than half of renters are cost-burdened, spending over 30% of their income on housing. Wages in construction and service sectors have not kept pace with the rising cost of living, and too many workers are excluded from the benefits of publicly supported development.

That’s why we are an active part of the Build a Better Miami Coalition—uniting unions and community groups to demand a CBA that guarantees good jobs, affordable housing, and long-term protections for the people who live and work here.

Growth shouldn't mean displacement. Investment shouldn't come without accountability. We’re fighting to build a Miami that puts people first.
