We’re in the final stretch of a critical campaign, and we need your help to spread the word to your members: Eileen Higgins needs us on the ground and on the phones.
Her opponent, Emilio Gonzalez, has been endorsed by Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis—two of the most anti-worker, anti-union politicians in the country.
Their agenda has already resulted in attacks on public sector unions, wage standards, and worker protections here in Florida. We cannot afford to let them expand their grip on Miami.
Eileen Higgins stands with working people. She has been a tireless advocate for renters, public transportation, and fair wages—exactly the kind of leadership our members and communities need. This race is a top priority in our ongoing fight for economic justice and dignity for all workers.
We are asking you to:
1. Encourage your members to canvas on behalf of the campaign.
- They can volunteer regardless of where they live.
- IMPORTANT: Due to union political guidelines, members must wear campaign shirts (provided on-site) unless they are canvassing exclusively to union households.
2. Promote virtual phone banking in English and Spanish:
