A special report on a state bill that puts a bullseye on public sector unions

CBS News Miami's Jim Defede investigates Senate Bill 1296, which is making its way through the Florida Legislature. The bill looks to move the goalposts on union elections in unprecedented fashion; If this legislation passes, it would force unions to gain a majority vote, not of the people who cast ballots, but of every employee in its district. It’s a bill that seems targeted to nuke public sector unions, and is backed by the right-wing group The Freedom Foundation. Jim talks to the foundation’s Southern Director, Rusty Brown, about the bill and its intentions.
